Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He also has developed a complete distrust of the Ruler profession.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bernard grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bernard. Recently the stress of being a Servant has made it difficult for him to sleep.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Personality: He is irritable and easily angered. He is a bit of a bully and is not afraid to use his stature and powers to intimidate and hurt. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.
