History: He was born several months after his father was called into army service. In his 19th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. At a young age his mother died while driving off some drow. His father being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in shortspear use. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by drow. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the drow.
