History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. Being a Sage kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. History: Born the oldest of a large religious northern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Through the years after Roland was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Recently a tribe of orcs attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls.
