History: Anselm lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Because his father participated in the massacre of their homeland, drow burned their ranch to the ground and forced them out. He was preparing to flee to the south, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying south to reunite his family. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down.

History: Wymar hails from a village terrorized by brigands. His childhood dream was to be a Fisher, but he was a colossal failure. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it; and sabotage a competitor

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has worked as a Layabout like his mother before him.

History: Nicholas was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has achieved small success as a Painter.
