He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. His actions favor neither the good nor the evil, as he answers to a power that mortal men fail to acknowledge.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. After a long history of fighting, Chad and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gilbert grew up listening to his mother's many stories. A gifted student he started as a Animal Trainer, but he got bored and became a Junk Dealer. He's also a talented Animal Trainer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Personality: Aldous is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: Aldous hails from a village terrorized by goblins. Like his father and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Detective. He has worked as a Detective like his father before him.
