History: Born the oldest of a large religious eastern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. Over the years he perfected his riding and shooting skills. Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born to a Seamstress, his father struggled to pay the bills. Anselm was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Anselm decided he wanted neither the life of his father nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. Being a Navigator kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

Personality: He is a sleazy, sleazy guy. He has no qualms about using his powers of suggestion to get people to do what he wants. He invented a lineage for himself and claims to be descended from several legendary heroes.

History: He was always a brilliant, if unscrupulous mind. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. When he's not drinking or sleeping the drinks off, he's doing painting.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by dire rats. Miles was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the dire rats.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Conrad was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. His first spouse was a Engraver, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind.
