History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. Through the years after Bertram was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Bertram's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to drow demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is calm most of the time but flees social interaction. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: He was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for him. It may also be what makes him so good at details. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
