Motivation: His relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother

History: He was born in the north. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was granted psionic powers by his dying sister.

Motivation: He possesses a valuable artifact that the thieves guild wishes to steal; and a deep hatred of brigands

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Through the years after Roger was born, his mother became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Roger's mother didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Roger and his spouse have recently divorced.
