History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He disdains his fellow easterners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: The child of a Navigator, who enjoyed hunting, Richard was taken on many hunting expeditions. He always admired divine-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
