History: Bernard lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Engraver and was forced into it by his family; and his spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He has no love for corruption and racketeering and views those as crimes of the highest magnitude.

History: He was born into a rich family. He struck it rich when he found rare goods in large quantities. He now mingles about in high society.

Personality: Deceptive and manipulative this western guy figured out how to best use his charms to convince people to do what he wants. He is an amazing painter.

History: He comes from a rich western family. He inherited a moderately successful company from his father. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.
