His mother taught him the rudiments of the Bricklayer arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 13 years.

History: He was born in the south, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Description: He is a paragon of his species. He is larger and stronger than most Humans. His skin is dark but he possesses many white ritualistic tattoos. He wears light armors faded through time and improper care. His white hair has been sun bleached extensively. His violet eyes are slightly larger than normal.

Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. Recently a tribe of dire rats attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bertram fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

His eyes are brown and he is always smoking a pipe.

Personality: He likes to be helpful to his clients. He likes to prescribe proper advice to his clients. He claims to be unscrupulous but at the end of the day he will do what he thinks is right.

History: Robert lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Ploughman work with an outfit from a few towns over. Ploughman work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of philosophers.
