Personality: He likes to brag about his accomplishments and constantly tries to beat others to the punch. He disdains his fellow westerners, claiming they make him look unintelligent just for using an accent.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Ernest alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. After a long history of fighting, Hugh and his spouse have recently divorced.
