Personality: He has schizophrenia that causes him to hear things that aren't there and will sometimes respond to them. He is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Humans in Hugh's homeland. Hugh decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Hugh fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

History: He comes from a rich northern family. Like his father and his sister before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Navigator. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. His arcane abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he dresses in yellow turtlenecks beneath a pastel coat with grey slacks. His white hair is well kept and his bushy mustache is tapered upwards at the ends. His blue unseeing eyes seem to look past you.

Personality: He is someone who is used to having a large amount of sex appeal. He also lacks a concept of privacy and shares just about everything. He would rather hide behind his crafts than deal with other people.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
