History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Bertram grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bertram. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Alexandre alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. Recently the stress of being a Unemployed has made it difficult for him to sleep.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and revenge

History: Chad was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered poetry. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

Ostracized due to the psionic powers of his oldest brother, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.
