Description: A well shaped man just over fifty, he wears light armors faded through time and improper care. With a patchy chestnut beard and wild chestnut hair. His eyes are hazel and he is always smoking a pipe.
Personality: Friendly and accommodating he would invite many more into his home than his spouse would be comfortable with if they did not express concern about it. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.
History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. In his 14th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Alex Van Es, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He wears a large hat to cast shadows over his face and wears ponchos to better hide his body. His black hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His blue eyes dart around the room hyper actively observing anyone and anything.
Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Alex is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. He left for the north, certain he would find work there.
Motivation: He is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.
Ideals: Philantrophist, Justice. Flaws: Antagonistic, Insane. Bonds: Immigrant. Occupation: Bricklayer
Voice: Thin and wheezing
