History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Justin was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. Recently a tribe of goblins attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Bernard fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He has the money to obtain near anything and knows that if you pay a man enough he will sell his own mother. Money is his most trusted friend.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Roger grew up listening to his father's many stories. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered north to less war torn lands. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: In the realm of puns, he cannot help himself. He feels obliged to make them. His brief stint in the army gave him the idea he was invincible and that he is the toughest man alive.

History: Born to a Shipwright, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and to unite with his sister
