History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Roland was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Roland was born on a far western mountains where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Performer. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food he seems plenty friendly. He has a cruel streak; something he gained from his previous mentor. He harbors resentment against his former mentor.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
