History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, Dean was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A serious injury left his father unemployed and in need of constant care. His family became saddled with debt trying to care for his infirm father. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: Adam was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his mother was employed at, doing general labor. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has achieved small success as a Weaver.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and further expansion of business

Personality: He is someone who is used to having a large amount of sex appeal. He also lacks a concept of privacy and shares just about everything. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, John grew up listening to his mother's many stories. His spouse left him for another, whom he beat to an almost bloody pulp. He did not win them back, but he came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.

Motivation: He is unsatisfied with his job.

Description: A stocky darker skinned man, he wears a well pressed and immaculate suit (or dress). His silver hair is smooth and relatively long. His face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. His spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: A powerful necromancer made him what he is. Aldous was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Aldous decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: He is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions; and to reunite with his absent mother

Personality: He has a massive crush on the younger sibling of the Miner who has hired him part-time. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Gerard hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His parents were killed by dire rats in a raid when he was still a young child. The dire rats captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He is untrained/undisciplined, which makes him dangerous.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and wants his loneliness to end
