Through the years after Nicholas was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Nicholas's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is highly sensitive about his name. He loathes it, but will not take any guff about it from anyone. The war was a terrible time for him, and Alex does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Apothecary arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: He is extraordinarily passive and rarely speaks, let alone speaks his mind. Around other people he will do his best to conceal his emotions and appear jolly.

History: Kody was born with his father's beautiful face. His family was turned out during the war. He and his family wandered east to less war torn lands. He tends to his Guard job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He has never given up on his writing dream.

History: He was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He's also a talented Junk Dealer, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: Money/treasure; and revenge
