Personality: He is very quiet and rarely speaks above a whisper. Roland is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. Being born in the east, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the east for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way west. He remains aloof and afraid to be himself due to all the ideals others have placed upon him.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and to reunite with his absent mother

History: Chad was born with his mother's beautiful face. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He now owns his own business.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and he desires to right it; and he'd like to take his coworkers down a peg
