When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His parents were killed by giants in a raid when he was still a young child. The giants captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Jocelyn is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is a logical person and will generally grow upset if things defy logic and science.

History: He was born in the north. A few years later when the south was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

History: He was raised in a island tribe. His mother disappeared, and while he tried to raise money to find his mother, he was betrayed dozens of times. He used his abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.
