Personality: A skeptical and narcissistic man, Bertram's first love is himself. His second love is also himself. He is vehemently anti-magic. All of it is evil and corrupting in his opinion.

History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. His father was very strict, and drilled into him lessons on being the perfect gentleman. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Wants to work out more often.

History: Miles was born the youngest of three triplets. Through the years after Miles was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the west. Miles's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Soapmaker they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Fisher, and he later adopted a second daughter.

Personality: He is a hateful person. He taunts others and blames them for his problems. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He left for the west, certain he would find work there.
