History: He was born in the north. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a giants raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and revenge

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: A deep hatred of gnolls; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Description: This exceptionally lanky man wears well tailored suits and hats with beautiful decoration. He is almost always dressed for an outing in high society. His hair, while still mostly black, has prominent grey streaks. He is very pretty but has cold, dead eyes.

Personality: He is shy and timid. He has not had much interaction with people and is skittish around them. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the south. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the mountains to a summer home near a old dungeon. He would wander through that old dungeon and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the mountains due to the painful memories there. Shane took refuge in the old dungeon and found the beat up dagger and armor he uses now. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: Nicholas is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. The war was a terrible time for him, and Nicholas does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. Since his mother passed away years ago, his father had doted on him, and he came to think her himself as special and better than other people in town. A notion that was reinforced by his attractiveness, a trait in which he easily excels the other men of his town. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Motivation: He feels kind of lost in life.
