The orcs captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

History: His arcane talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. During his travels, Richard and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Richard discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves.
