Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Marshal but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Cory lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. He has since lost track of the people in his past.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Personality: He is a Miller first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. Reynard is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his sisters into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: He was born in the west. Reynard was a troubled youth. He spent his days as a hard laborer instead of attending school, and spent his evenings with numerous mobsters and gang members. Reynard decided he wanted neither the life of his mother nor that of the evil petty criminals he associated with. During his early adolescence, he took a sudden opportunity while working the docks and commandeered a vessel that was left unmanned. He struck the Miller job and began his own company from there.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes dire rats are coming to abduct people. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. In his 14th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Hubert alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He now mingles about in high society.
