He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Human doctor. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Knight.

Personality: He trusts no one. He is not readily capable for forgiveness and his ire never leaves him. He is underhanded and not above using his wealth and body to get others to do his bidding.

History: His mother raised him in a mountain cabin. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the plains to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the plains due to the painful memories there. Manfred took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up glaive and armor he uses now. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Bather. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. A gypsy cursed him at a young age, leading to his ugly appearance. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: An old rival family wants him found.
