To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Bertram. Since then, he has sought to make the best of life.

History: Born in the north to a Glassblower, Reynard learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has gone from town to town till he finds a spot where he can set up a sustainable business.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes brigands are coming to abduct people. He is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with his old comrades. He has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and many brigands want him driven away

Personality: His tongue was cut out and he uses sign language. He is harsh and unforgiving.

History: Cory was born with his father's beautiful face. Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Cory has worked very hard to control his curse. After a long history of fighting, Cory and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: He's repulsed by the PC; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He constantly seizes attention wherever he goes and has come to expect this respect from everyone. He likes to think of himself as merciful, but nonetheless is very strict.

History: Richard was born with his mother's beautiful face. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A rival would like him out of the picture; and he is a bit of a kleptomaniac
