History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. A freak accident while working with his Scribe mother left him crippled. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. He has a taste for the finer things and spends a great deal of money on luxuries, some more exotic than others.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Barber arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. While he appears to be a normal Human, he's... not quite right. Perhaps he's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that he plain doesn't fit in. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by goblins. Bertram was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. However, he heard that his mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: He is cool and collected. He likes to make quips and puns whenever he does anything. He also makes a point to compliment his superiors and flatter them. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Adelard is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
