History: Shane was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His childhood dream was to be a Fortune-teller, but he was a colossal failure. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Cartwright for hire.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. A few years later when the east was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. Roland enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.
