Personality: He hates Humans with a passion. As such he is filled with self loathing. He will do just about anything if he becomes convinced it is for someone's true love, of this he is easily convinced.

History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when orcs swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Carter. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by orcs, and he desires to right it; and a deep hatred of orcs

Through the years after Gerard was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Gerard's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.
