History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes gnolls are coming to abduct people. Roland enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Roland was born with his mother's beautiful face. In his 11th year, his parents were killed by a gnolls raid, leaving Roland alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to gnolls demanding more tribute than usual.
