Personality: He is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends he is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy himself. Hugh enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was born in a small plains village. Hugh liked to wander the woods near his home when he was young, something he still likes to do at least once a week. He never liked modest clothing or shoes, so he would wander the woods barefoot and lightly dressed, and he developed a good sense of balance and learned how to climb and swim well. History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the west. As a young adult he joined a group advocating for an improvement in Human conditions. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Human compassion; and a strong sense of loyalty to human people

Personality: He is a Map Maker first and foremost. He believes firmly that knowledge should be universal. He is lazy, self-centered, vain, and jealous.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Gomory grew up listening to his mother's many stories. When he came of age, he joined a caravan that would eventually take him to the capital. He would practice along the way and, when he arrived, be apprenticed to a Map Maker. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature bastard sword.

History: Hubert hails from a village terrorized by giants. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The mother sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his mother's willingness to do anything to win. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Carter for the past few years.
