History: When he was but 4 years old his parents immigrated from the south. Manfred was born on a far southern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Navigator. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. He married young, but lost his spouse to brigands. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by brigands, and he desires to right it.
