Bertram Royston, Male Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic left hand, he wears a simple burlap shirt and baggy pants. He conceals his sai with his veritable burlap sack of a shirt. His red hair is thinning but still full. His face is full, his cheeks are rosy, and he always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in his violet eyes.
Personality: He is business-like. He takes instructions and follows them to the letter. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, Bertram is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.
History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the island to a summer home near a ruined castle. He would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the island due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up sai and armor he uses now. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.
Motivation: He is content; and to find somewhere to settle down
Ideals: Professionalism, Justice. Flaws: Mundane. Bonds: Attractive. Occupation: Adventurer
Voice: Ums and uhs a lot
