Cursed with a spirit at a very young age, Bernard has worked very hard to control his curse. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
