He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. After a long history of fighting, William and his spouse have recently divorced.

He is a bit of a macho man and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. There was a wharf not far from home where he often wandered off to fish. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Personality: He takes his job very seriously, in part because he fears he cannot get a new one. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.
