Through the years after Jocelyn was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Jocelyn's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Lance embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Lance was born the youngest of three triplets. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Cook work with an outfit from a few towns over. Cook work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Cook job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He passes on several rewards to people in need. He makes a point to leave places better than he found them.

History: He was raised in a white middle class family as the only child. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Shepherd for the past few years.

Motivation: To pay off his debts; and to end his boredom

History: He comes from a rich northern family. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He leaves a trail of broken hearts and full pockets wherever he goes.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He uses his nature as a weapon; he likes to lead opponents to think him in distress.

History: Chad was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Fighter, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Fighter in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has dedicated himself to building a better trade route.

Motivation: Obtaining odd cultural Human artifacts is his passion; and meet up once more with his childhood friend
