When his mother died while fighting illithids, the young Bernard began to lead the lost caravan. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Brewer. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.
