History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Description: This dark-skinned male usually wears his black robe and has his kukri always slung over his shoulder. He is tall, broad shouldered and powerfully built. He wears a colorful flower in his chestnut hair. His amber eyes have a joyful gleam in them most of the time.

Personality: He has a good heart but also a terrible temper. He will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. He cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist he will grow angry at them.

History: Bernard hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Being born in the north, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the north for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has been saving his money to try and buy his sister's freedom.

Motivation: He has a rivalry with the Church that dominates his actions; and a deep hatred of gnolls

Description: This man stands a little under 6'3" and is a bit bulky. He is very muscular particularly in the legs. He is well dressed, but even with his fine clothing he looks run-down. His long white hair reaches down to his waist. His eyes are likewise blue. His teeth are white and perfect.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, he has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: Sold as a small child to a brothel owner, William was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge.

Description: An imposing man with a heavy stainless steel prosthetic left hand, he wears many layers of old clothing at all times. His black hair is greying along the sides and has receded to reveal a widow's peak. His brown eyes are passionate and lively.

Personality: Wymar is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. Wymar enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He served in the navy to pay for his family's outstanding loans. When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Mason hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Motivation: He loathes his own lifestyle; and he feels kind of lost in life

Description: The man speaks with an almost imperceptible accent. He seems to always be the slightest bit damp as if he got out from a pool a few moments ago. He wears suspenders and green workpants. His shirt is brown, and he wears a heavy green leather apron most of the time. His silver hair and beard is wavy and long. His fair skin shows little sign of his aristocratic breeding.

Personality: Hugh wants to be seen as a stoic, levelheaded, noble Fighter, so he tries to act the part. He does a good job, for the most part... Hugh is a bit of a follower. Usually he is manipulated by his brothers into helping them out, but recently he has become more of a free agent.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
