Personality: He is almost excessively polite to everyone, even when angry. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He now owns his own business.

History: Born to a Weaver, his mother struggled to pay the bills. In his 13th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Arnold alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.
