History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when dire rats swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. While studying, he fell in love. They married and had a daughter. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he has a rivalry with the church that dominates his actions

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. As long as the job gets done he does not care how it got done.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he is greedy

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it; and he wants random interesting trinkets and junk, hates to throw anything away

History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. When Aldous reached his early adolescence his Human father passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, he decided to travel. His rounds led him into the Army with a few individuals who would become his life-long companions. He now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.
