He was preparing to flee to the north, but the outbreak of war prevented him and his mother from journeying north to reunite his family. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: He is inclined to make off color jokes and interpret anything that could be construed as such as innuendo. The war was a terrible time for him, and John does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: A child with a great deal of dancing talent his parents made sure he got the chance to thrive. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. Being a Animal Trainer kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is a ruthless business man, a trait he acquired from his mother.

History: The child of a Bowyer, who enjoyed hunting, Hubert was taken on many hunting expeditions. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the east were limited. Lacking all sense, he decided to go on an adventure. He picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Retire the richest man in the east.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Map Maker responsibilities is difficult; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army
