Motivation: He feels the way he acts is they only way to get by in the world; and to get a good night's sleep

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. In his 10th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Simon alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 10 years.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has became unsatisfied with his lot in life, and decided to take up adventuring.
