History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his mother. In his 17th year, his parents were killed by a drow raid, leaving Richard alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Many drow want him driven away; and revenge

Personality: He is enamored with his job. He loves it. He likes the challenge and he likes helping those less fortunate than him. He will pursue extreme courses of action in the short term, confident that they cannot fail.

History: The child of northern immigrants he idolized his father. He made a point of taking high paying jobs and getting most of it up front. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Map Maker for the past few years.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and to prove his worth to the world

Personality: He likes to fabricate stories about his past exploits and how crazy he is, but in actuality he is rather bland. He is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of him. He is by nature obliging.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Human compassion; and wants to raise his children well

He loves his children and doesn't want them to worry about him. He loves to share his writing with anyone who is interested.

History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. Ostracized due to the martial powers of his oldest sister, he and his siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. He's also a talented Gardener, but doesn't like to broadcast it.

Motivation: His spouse's relatives view him with great suspicion; and his relatives are trying to arrange a marriage
