History: Born the oldest of a large religious western family, he was no stranger to responsibility. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

Motivation: He has decided he is irredeemable; and he feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help

Personality: He's a bit of a prankster. He knows he is clumsy and seen as such and will often feign amnesia after injury. A fanatic, his devotion to his small selection of gods is unquestionable. He claims to be doing their will and will base all his actions on whether or not they would be pleasing to the gods.

History: Born in the south to a Carter, Roger learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. He now owns his own business.
