History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. He moved from fad to fad and when he turned 15 he discovered writing. He's since become an addict/alcoholic.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright blue and brown, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His hair is greying and his face has many wrinkles. His voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: He can speak with the dead, and doesn't see much difference between the living and dead. He is kind towards other men and children and will generally offer men help without question. Others will generally need to prove themselves to him.

History: A studious child he never was much for a social life, not because he was unlikable, but because he did not seek it out. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: He is not truly malevolent, but he is obsessed with poetry. He constantly tries to fill his life with poetry. Lance enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Bricklayer arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. He has never given up on his poetry dream.

History: Godfrey was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: To reunite with his old friends; and meet up once more with his childhood friend

Personality: He is quiet and anti-social and can barely make it a few minutes in conversation before his hampering stammer kicks in. He is a very good compulsive liar and kleptomaniac.

History: He was raised in a forest tribe. Roland was born on a far western forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Shepherd. He would ruin relationships and cause injury. He was reprimanded several times before being given his current form and forced to learn humility.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and seeks redemption
