History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Miles was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He has zero loyalty and will suck up to whomever is within range, in the hopes of being moved to a better position.

History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now mingles about in high society.
