When money was particularly tight he was walking through alleys when he overheard a Roofer hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. He made his way to the other competitor and parlayed his knowledge into a job. He now owns his own business.

His father, a somewhat powerful mage sought to protect him and cast a teleportation spell that whisked him away. He tends to his Barber job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
