History: Born in the north to a Herbalist, Clerebold learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. He was an apprentice working in his mother's forge. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Ralf embodies much of what other species detest in the Humans. He works hard and plays hard.

History: He was raised in a plains tribe. Through the years after Ralf was born, his father became increasingly distant from his family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. Ralf's father didn't care for him much, and the feeling was mutual. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Ralf fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: He runs his personal life as if detached from it. He organizes appointments and outings based on perceived benefits he will get from it. He can see the true alignment of people by looking at them, and uses this to pass judgement.

History: Richard lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Richard was born on a far northern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Sailor. He has been saving his money to try and buy his brother's freedom.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent father; and doesn't want to be a sailor and was forced into it by his family
