He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: When he was but 7 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by giants. Ernest was horrified and prayed that his mother was alright. History: His martial talent manifested at a young age. Aiming to upstage a rival house, his parents had him trained. His parents were killed by brigands in a raid when he was still a young child. The brigands captured him, and made him a slave and general play-thing. He was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to his deformed appearance. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.
